Quick Lemon Squash

Recipe byPhil
print
Ingredients:

Full lemon, half gets used
6-8 oz water
Ice
Lemon slice

  1. Prep the lemon by warming (can put in the microwave for 10 seconds) and/or rolling.
  2. Slice the lemon in half.
  3. Juice half of lemon into the water. Remove seeds. I like to leave the pulp in, so I don't strain the lemon. I wrap the other lemon half in saran wrap to save it for later.
  4. Add Stevia to taste. Add ice.
  5. Garnish with lemon wedge.

Tip:  Diluted lemon juice is actually good for heartburn.  Despite tasting acidic, lemon actually is a alkalinic base in the body.

Ok, so it's pretty simple, I just didn't know what you meant by a "crush"!

oops! you're right--i mean squash & not crush. My simple recipes was inspired by "Lime Squash", which I discovered on a menu in Antigua and/or India. They actually squeezed the lime into seltzer at the table, and left sugar. Kind of like this recipe: http://www.marthastewart.com/348665/lime-squash-drink
